Frequently Asked Questions

DO I NEED TO ATTEND ALL SESSIONS?

There will be six virtual meetings (dates below). You are encouraged to attend live for optimal participation. 

 

However, if you miss a session, follow-up recordings will be provided, and you can email me for any further support.

WHEN ARE 1:1 COACHING SESSIONS?

If you buy the Enhanced Program, your one-hour coaching sessions will take place over Zoom on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, between 10am - 5pm EST. You'll book your quarterly appointments via my online calendar system.

DO I NEED TO HAVE GOALS?

No. Some people will approach their Intentional Year with compelling goals. But that's not required.

 

You may not even be a goal-oriented person, and that's ok.

 

You might cultivate your Intentional Year by nurturing habits or centering your values, key decisions, seasonal rhythms or a subtle sense of who you're becoming.

 

As you pay attention and tend your life, you're more likely to make intentional choices, moving with presence and care.

WILL INSURANCE COVER THIS?

As I'm not a registered psychotherapist or social worker, generally NO. However, if professional budgets cover your fees - and you're using this program to support professional goals - I'm happy to provide a customized statement to outline the services provided by Intentional Year.

DO I HAVE TO FEEL PRIMED & ENERGIZED?

No. Definitely not. 

 

Especially if you're exploring investing in this program to align with a calendar year, you do NOT need to jump out of the gate in January.

 

In fact, you'll receive consistent encouragement to slow down, balance action with rest, and to move at the pace of guidance - learning to quiet the voices of fear or urgency.

 

If you decide to orient your year in alignment with seasonal rhythms, you may denote January and February for months of quiet, resting, listening, and dreaming, for example.

 

This is the whole point of the Intentional Year: you get to cultivate the rhythms and values that feel good to you. There is no rush, pressure or formula you need to follow.

 

My intention is to help you discern and trust your inner compass as you navigate a conscious, intentional year.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW MY INTENTIONS?

If this program appeals to you, but you're not sure exactly what your intentions even are for the upcoming twelve months, that's OK. I can help with that!

 

Getting clear or getting started is kryptonite for some folks, so it's just fine if you don't know where to begin.

 

I'll provide tools and structure to help you clarify your vision at the outset of your Intentional Year. 

I HAVE ADHD. WILL THIS WORK FOR ME?

I'm not an ADHD-specialist.

 

However, I've successfully coached many clients with ADHD... and this form of neuro-divergence is something I'm learning about for myself.

 

The tools I'll offer are not specific to folks with ADHD, but I'll offer additional resources and ideas that I hope will help your ability to focus and follow through on your intentions.

WHY IS THIS PROGRAM A YEAR LONG?

I believe in this power of steady, incremental and experimental change. I celebrate baby steps. 🐢

 

Sometimes we want to take leaps or make radical shifts quickly, but my coaching years - and personal experience - have taught me that there is wisdom in moving gently, consistently and patiently.

 

It takes time to learn new systems and tools, let alone to make them your own and maintain the ones that serve you.

 

If we're making brave changes, we don't want to overwhelm our nervous systems. A year gives you time to slowly evolve your beliefs and capacities at a pace that feels safe.

 

A lot of programs I know run for a few weeks or months - and I'm hoping this 12-month scope will support you in nurturing sustainable change that is subtle yet deep.

 

At the end of the day, this is about conscious, creative living - and supporting who you're becoming. This kind of evolution requires time.
